To the Non-Christian...

We are here if you need us. When you see us at an event, or at the CMA booth, and just want to talk; get our attention. If you would like information, or want to know who we are and why we do what we do- just ask.

You see, we are a lot like you. Some of our members have 'been there, done that', just like you. Other members may not fully understand you because they have not lived it.  Some of us have never had to do without, and some grew up not having much love, encouragement, or any of the 'good stuff' of life.

Parents, grandparents, or just parents to be.  We all want what is best for our kids. We all want to be loved, accepted and respected  for who we are. We have had fears of the unknown, and fears about death. Most of us would rather be rich than poor.

So what is different between a Christian and a non-Christian? It is simply the fact, at some point, we have come to the end of ourselves. We realized that no matter what we did it just never worked out the way we hoped it would. We asked Jesus to come into our lives, and be our Lord ('boss').  We also asked Him to arrange our lives and take control, and forgive us for trying to live our life in ways that were not pleasing to Him (sin).

Lastly, we asked Him to change us, believing that  His Holy Spirit would work in us, to make us a new people, giving us new lives (born again) - free to really live for the first time.

The result?
We have peace, knowing that we don't have to be in control -- not that we ever really were! Peace knowing Jesus knows and wants what is best for us, and yes - He does have a way of guiding our lives to help us. Peace knowing that we are always unconditionally loved.

We have freedom. Freedom from having a constant urge to do things we know are wrong. Freedom to go to heaven, because Jesus paid the price for our wrongs when He died on the cross. Know what? It feels great!

We know love, because God is love. And God wants us to know Him. It is a relationship, not religion. I'd say He has your attention, even now! Jesus died for you even though you do the wrong things... you don't have to 'get cleaned up' first - He does the cleaning.

We have an eternal purpose. God has a plan for each of our lives. No one is here by accident. God works through Christians to accomplish His will.

Where would I be without Christ? I wouldn't know where to start. Some people say Jesus is just a crutch; but I say He is everything you need: Savior, Lord, and friend.
